The details

Terms of use

These terms apply when you use Pixels to Inches and its image-sizing tools.

Effective September 14, 2026

Using the tool

You may use the calculator free of charge for personal, educational, or work projects, and you may reuse your calculation results. Use the site lawfully and avoid attempts to disrupt it, bypass its safeguards, or interfere with other visitors.

Check the assumptions

I work to make the calculations accurate, but mistakes can occur in software, source material, and entered values. You are responsible for choosing appropriate dimensions, units, PPI, and print settings. Check important results before ordering prints, committing money, or relying on them for a project.

The print planner estimates geometric fit and available resolution. It does not guarantee sharpness, color accuracy, paper compatibility, or a printer’s final output. Upscaling adds pixels without restoring missing image detail. Always inspect exported files and your printer’s scaling settings.

Your images and results

Only process or share images you are entitled to use. You retain your rights in your images; using this tool does not transfer those rights to me. The app performs image processing locally, as explained in the privacy policy.

Availability and responsibility

The site and its outputs are provided “as is” and “as available,” without a promise of uninterrupted access or error-free results. To the extent the law allows, I am not responsible for losses arising from reliance on the tool or an inability to use it. Nothing here excludes responsibility that cannot legally be excluded or limits your mandatory legal rights.

Updates and contact

I may improve, change, or discontinue features. Revised terms will appear on this page with an updated date and apply to use after they take effect. For questions or to report a problem, email contact@pixelstoinches.org.
